Business Development Advisor – Maidenhead – Gibbs & Dandy

Full clean driving licence is essential for this position.

As this role has a strong focus within our Tool Hire part of the business, we are also looking for someone who has strong communication and commercial awareness, it’s preferable to have existing experience in a similar role however due to internal promotion training and support can be provided.

Hours of work: 7:00am-17:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm every other Saturday

Please note: It is essential for this role to have a Full, clean driving license.

What will I be doing?

Our Merchant Sales Advisors are essential within the branch network, you will build relationships with Customers and understand their wider requirements in order to maximise sales growth. You will be in regular contact with our Customers and therefore you play a huge part in delivering a fantastic customer experience. In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;

  • Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values
  • Supervising a small team to ensure that great relationships are developed with new and existing Customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise tool hire delivery and collection, keeping customers updated throughout their journey
  • Collaborate with the wider network to support Customer requirements and business activities
  • Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth
  • You may be occasionally required to carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
  • Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
  • with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
