Business Development Manager

The business is a specialist supplier of solutions and asset finance in the renewable energy sector and following strong growth have developed an exciting strategy to offer a national presence.

We are looking for ambitious, dynamic, conscientious and entrepreneurial Business Development Managers (BDM) to sell renewable energy solutions to customers to reduce energy costs. This is a home based role with a defined geographical area. The BDM will use a combination of telesales driven and self generated leads to make appointments and by adopting a consultative style, conduct a site survey to identify and recommend best options/suppliers for a total energy solution with the offer of asset finance, if required to close the sale.

Candidates should have knowledge and sales experience in renewable energy in areas such as lighting, biomass, anaerobic digestion, solar PV, geothermal, etc and have a keen eye for commercial opportunities as well as experience of closing a sale following a site survey. The company also offers asset finance so exposure to selling capital goods with finance would be advantageous.

You will need to be In the regional/national office for a couple of days per month although the role is mainly field based so records/CRM system will need to be updated on the move. Target sectors will include healthcare, retail, manufacturing, public sector and property.
