Company Profile:

Our client is an international leader in injection moulding process training, technology and resources. They are renowned for producing a comprehensive and powerful process monitoring/control system for plastic injection moulding applications. They are now looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager.

Primary Function:

Develop and grow sales profitably in line with Business Plans and produce a sales strategy for the UK/Irish business over a one and five-year timeframe. There will be support from the parent company in relation to sales tools, marketing strategies, technical customer support and other related areas to support the sustainable growth of the entity.

Key Responsibilities:

⦁ Apply a ‘consultative’ sales approach to target profitable business growth both from new and existing customers.
⦁ Successful gathering of information in pre-sales discussions to ensure the right proposal is prepared taking account of the customer’s needs in relation to both technology requirements and/or training needs.
⦁ Strategic development of sales in key market sectors, core products/services and customers in line with Business Plans.
⦁ Prepare annual sales budgets for UK/Ireland.
⦁ Ensure project pipeline is current and healthy.
⦁ Develop and maintain a rolling five- year plan.
⦁ Maintain and develop key customer relationships.
⦁ Monitor and maintain customer price lists & pricing strategy.
⦁ Identify and target new customers and markets.
⦁ Negotiate contracts and ensure terms are complied with including credit management.
⦁ Develop new market opportunities e.g. Automotive, Technical Moulding.
⦁ Regular written reporting of activities and progress.
⦁ Promote company through customer events/seminars, exhibitions etc.

Person Profile:

⦁ High level technical expert in demanding plastic injection process.
⦁ Based in the UK but must be prepared to travel extensively.
⦁ Candidates from machinery, processing or materials will be considered.
⦁ Good B2B experience, capable of presenting to customers at an executive level.
⦁ Multi-disciplined background with entrepreneurial thinking to achieve business objectives.
⦁ Hands-on to identify and manage customers.
⦁ Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels.
⦁ Good organisational and time management skills.
⦁ Computer literate with knowledge of current operating systems and software.
⦁ Ideally educated to degree standard.
⦁ Ideally multi-lingual
