Medical Engineers

Salary: £66,000 – £78,000 per year

Our clients manufacturing plays a key role in the development and manufacture of new, sophisticated medical and industrial products.
Working in multi-disciplinary team of R&D engineers in a facility, fully equipped with the latest computer-aided design and modelling technologies, enable them to develop medical workstations and fluid management products & accessories, and industrial Remote Visual Inspection devices.

Your Responsibilities:
• Recruit, develop, motivate, control and co-ordinate the team to ensure accurate and timely output to meet departmental and company needs
• Provide peer review and technical support in order to improve the overall engineering ability and knowledge within the department and company
• Evaluate, provide and manage resources within a matrix structure to meet project requirements and product support activities
• Participate in the project planning process, identifying activities, sequences and work content to enable effective projects with efficient utilisation of resources and compliance with medical device regulations
• Produce and report key metrics for senior management to identify process performance and enable improvement activities.

Requirements:
• Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline or equivalent
• Proven effective experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
• Exceptional communication skills
• Successful project management experience within an R&D environment
• Ability to problem solve and applying engineering principles/design for manufacture.
• Previous experience within the design/ development of Medical devices and electro- mechanical devices.
• Has worked in a highly regulated and audited environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials (desirable), e.g. machining, sheet metal, injection moulding, casting, extruding
