Salary: £60,000 – £66,000 per year
This client is looking for a construction professional to take on an essential management role to help drive their business forward.
Based in the heart of the Midlands, they are a successful and long-established contractor delivering expert installation of specialist trades on major commercial builds across the country. Our key specialities include structural framing systems, insulated render systems and fully load-bearing lightweight steel buildings.
Their clients consist of some of the biggest names in UK construction including Galliford Try and Willmott Dixon, alongside interesting bespoke projects for smaller developers and contractors. They work on a wide variety of projects ranging from 2-4 week builds to £1-million projects running for many months.
They are looking for a determined candidate ready to oversee both the site management & estimating sides of our business, and to provide support to our existing management staff. The role will be varied, including site visits, planning and scheduling, estimating, health & safety and project management.
The successful candidate will receive training & guidance from colleagues to learn the specialist trades and develop the skills you need to help push the business forward.

Key responsibilities include:
Active Sites:
Material planning and scheduling
Health and safety management and compliance
Working closely with our workforce on active sites
Site visits, progress reporting and problem solving
Estimating:
Reading drawings
Quantifying works and creating pricing sheets
Obtaining material quotesThey are looking for the right applicant who will fit in well socially with the existing team and has the right forward outlook with progression in mind. Ideally the candidate will have:
Good understanding of the construction industry
Experience working in construction with a main contractor or sub-contractor is beneficial
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the requirements of the business
Some experience in quantity surveying is also beneficial
High level of computer literacy is required
