Salary: £21.6 – £27.25 per hour
Our client who is a global manufacturing business is looking for a shift engineering technician / maintenance engineer to work at their facility based on Wrexham Industrial Estate.
The ideal candidate would have a recognised time served apprenticeship in welding or plumbing or fabrication (any mechanical background) or HNC qualification or equivalent.
Hours of work: continental shift pattern
We welcome applications from candidates with any mechanical background.
Desired experience in working in a busy manufacturing environment as mechanic/ technician/ engineer, car mechanic, machine setter, trains/ heavy machinery/ commercial vehicle service.
Performance Objectives
* Develop safe working practices for routine and non-routine tasks.
* Identify and rectify performance issues.
* Daily routine checks for the working area.
* Continuous monitoring of equipment condition and further develop the system.
* Carry out routine planned Overhauls – Decorators, Coaters and LSMs.
* Carry out planned maintenance and ad-hoc maintenance, such as on conversion days.
* Carry out decorator alignments.
* Carry out mechanical improvements in the process.
* Support trials and new equipment installation and commissioning.
* Spare parts monitoring.
* Carry out unit spare rebuilds inclusive of Inkers and OV Units as required.
* Training new staff members.
* Shift support / cover when required.
* Turning, milling, and grinding work, when required.
