Scientist – Wiltshire

Jocelyn Blackham is currently recruiting for a Scientist based within a Microbiology department to join a large CMO supplying drugs, biologics and consumer health products based in Wiltshire (on the M4 corridor).This role is offered on a full time temporary basis for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be to:
• Keep records of all work in accordance with GLP and company SOPs
• Test in-process samples
• Keep environmental monitoring tracking spreadsheets up to date
• Responding to OOS/ATR in accordance with SOP47/166 and other relevant SOP’s
• Finished product testing
• Raw material testing
• Update batch tracker for Microbiology testing dates
• Complete surveillance audits
• Identification of microorganisms Sub- culturing, primary identification, Secondary identification using API
You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• BSc in Microbiology or a relevant scientific discipline (or equivalent), is desirable
• Previous experience working within a microbiology laboratory setting would be beneficial
• Knowledgeable with GLP
• Previous experience working within a pharmaceutical environment
