Data Scientist
Our client, a market leading company within financial services arena, urgently seek a Data Scientist who has in-depth exposure deploying Machine Learning models as API’s, using Azure Machine Learning, Python/R and a very strong background in Statistical Analysis
Their custom-built business management software has been built from scratch, providing their internal teams with a lead generation and financial system, CRM, sales and process workflows.
In addition to providing customers with a portal to access all the personal and financial information related to their accounts with us, accessible via website and mobile app.
They continue to review and enhance this platform and have a number of new projects now and on the horizon. To help with this, they need to increase their Business Intelligence team with a Data Scientist.
The role will initially be involved with a green field development project, before moving onto further exciting projects such as using ML to help enrich their many data sources.
You’ll be vital in helping to create data sets, developing models to facilitate predictive analytics, and exploring business and customer revenue generating opportunities.
Joining an agile team of developers and analysts, you’ll be expected to create this new infrastructure and framework.
Building machine learning models in Python that have a direct impact on the business
Development of text classification, segmentation and predictive models
Unit testing and documentation of specified solutions
Providing solutions to real business problems, which will benefit customers and provide a more personalised experience
Working closely with key stakeholders across the business to highlight and prioritise opportunities for improvement
Leverage existing and new tools which can bring further data science capabilities to the Group
Demonstrate a clear understanding of time series/forecasting for supply/demand
Optimise existing technology and systems to ensure the Group continues to develop a culture of improvement and data driven decision-making and solutions
Training of existing development team towards conclusion of projects
Essential Skills
* With a well-established and hands-on background in data science, you’ll have experience in building text classifications, segmentation and predictive modelling frameworks, in addition to developing scalable cloud-native applications.
* Deploying Machine Learning models as API’s is something you would have done before
* You’ll have extensive experience using Azure Machine Learning (ML), along with strong practical experience in Python/R and a statistical analysis background.
