My client is a recognised market leader within the Healthcare marketplace, producing a distinctive range of high profile healthcare products. A principal supplier to all the healthcare public/private sectors, they are currently experiencing sustained expansion and business growth. As a result, an immediate requirement has arisen for Engineering/Asset Care Manager.
Role
A challenging and stimulating role, you will be responsible for engineering activities on a prestigious, state-of-the-art food production site. You will devise and ensure a robust and responsive maintenance strategy, and develop contingencies which permit the whole sites working regime to be supported fully by all areas of engineering.
You will create, implement and manage both maintenance and capital expenditure budgets for your factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques.
You will ensure that standards and procedures are in place and regularly update to govern all engineering activities on site, including all aspects of asset registration, safe working practices, management of contractors and the assessment of competence of all engineering staff. Together with the senior factory management team, you will ensure that the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved for the ever changing needs of the business.
Requirements
Demonstrating an experience within an FMCG environment which have been within an engineering maintenance management role. Ideally you will be a Chartered Engineer, and ideally educated to Degree level, preferably in a Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering discipline, and a proven track record in the delivery of significant engineering tasks.
You will have finely developed interpersonal and communication skills and the natural ability to inspire and lead teams. A proven track record of meeting agreed performance targets, and financial reporting skills are also crucial to the success of this role. You will also have the ability to identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance. You will display effective organisational skills and demonstrate a forward thinking, career ambitious and enthusiastic approach. In terms of your team management skills, you will also possess a strong ability in forming positive working relationships across all levels, creating and cascading a vision for the business.
