Business Analyst / MIS Manager / IT Manager with ERP & Accounting and food & beverage or manufacturing experience – this role requires excellent analysis and business process experience with BI reporting and knowledge of SQL or SQL Server databases. You will manage a team of 3 and report to the Finance Director. Salary range from £66,000 – £78,000 + 10% Bonus and BUPA – lots of autonomy and the opportunity to innovate.

This new role is with a privately owned, high quality food importing, distribution and manufacturing company based near Northolt, which has very easy access from the A40 before you hit the London traffic. They have one very large factory/office space so you will be based permanently on site. They are passionate about their foods which are supplied to high end customers; they have been in business for over 20 years and have grown to their current turnover of around £25 million with a team of 130 people.

A sophisticated, powerful new ERP software solution is in place; the capabilities are outstanding and it covers finance, supply chain, manufacturing, production, warehouse management (WMS), landed and delivered costs, goods in, product traceability, BI, e-commerce and purchasing. Now they need the right person to maximise the full potential of their ERP system and oversee all other IT requirements.

Your strengths will be in business analysis, the implementation of ERP and accounting software, and generating reports – it is essential that you have worked in a food / beverage or manufacturing / distribution environment so that you understand the business processes of their industry. Business Intelligence tools are Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Key skills:

*ERP and Accounting software business analysis and implementation
*Strong understanding of business and requirements processes
*Previous experience with foods or a warehousing / distribution environment
*Business Intelligence skills with the ability to analyse sales, returns, goods, costs and suppliers and produce BI Reports
*MS SQL or SQL Server experience is essential
*Report writing expertise
*Experience with integrated ERP software solutions such as Dynamics NAV, SAP, Dynamics AX, Syspro, JDE, Sage 1000, Sage ERP X3, Infor, Epicor, IFS, Ross, de Facto S5, Greentree or similar
*A general understanding of IT structure – telephony, data and hardware (however you will have 3 support, development & infrastructure staff working for you)
*Able to manage and organise a small IT team
*Motivated, enthusiastic and energetic

Initial projects over the first 6 months will be to specify a new product module, enhance the budgeting and forecasting systems to allow more frequent reforecasting, analyse the sales module to improve commission payment, a QA system to help with purchasing and supplier management, and analysing the KPI targets. So you will be busy!

This is a superb position for an ERP Business Analyst or a Functional Consultant who is looking to move to an end user role with no travel. Your input will help develop the company’s IT strengths and will contribute to their future success and growth. Please get in touch with Jake King or Carolyn MacLurg at Ambis as soon as possible for further information on the role and to apply.
