Continuous Improvement Manager

mpeople exec are working exclusively with a major manufacturer of Consumer Disposables to recruit a Global Continuous Improvement Manager based from their head office in the West Midlands.

Our client has over 5 international regional offices and is one of the largest businesses within their industry, with over 2,000 employees globally.

The business is now entering a new phase of development globally and is looking to expand their R&D, product development and manufacturing capabilities. This investment will all be underpinned by the development of a lean manufacturing culture and strategy throughout the business.

As the global continuous improvement manager, you will be the driving force behind the development of a lean strategy and culture across all 5 sites and regional business units. You will be working closely with manufacturing and commercial teams to ensure that opportunities are identified and capitalised on across the business. You`ll be working from shop-floor through to board level globally and will be responsible for getting buy-in and engagement right across the business.

You will be an excellent communicator, commercial, with a strong track record in building bridges with different business functions.

You will be creative, expressive and committed to the best of new developments within a lean framework.

You will be able to demonstrate leadership experience by coordinating and or facilitating successful Continuous Improvement teams, utilising Lean Manufacturing techniques, methods and principles.

You will be well-versed in the Theory of Constraints and Lean and must have extensive and practical experience of implementing Lean tools and techniques within a manufacturing environment (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED etc.)

Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt would be a benefit but not essential.

You must be eligible to work within the EU without a work permit and to thrive in this role a high level of travel will be expected.
Candidates with FMCG or Packaging experience are ideal.
