Dementia Advisor X 2 – Alzheimer’s Charity

We are looking for 2 people with excellent communication and people skills to be the first point of access following referral into the Dementia Advisor Service.

Salary: £26,000per yearactual per year
Hours: 35 per week
Contract type: Permanent

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There will be 850,000 people with dementia in the UK by 2015 with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

The Dementia Advisor service provides a highly responsive, individualised information, signposting and referral service to people with a diagnosis of dementia and those that care for them. You will also aim to market the Dementia Advisor Service and develop a network of support from health and care professionals who will refer people with a diagnosis to the service at the earliest opportunity.

You will need to be able to evaluate client needs and have an understanding of dementia. You will also need excellent time management and organisation skills in this role.

You must possess NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You will need to be willing and able to travel independently across the area.
