Dementia Care Manager – Luxury Nursing and Residential Care Home – Bath

Salary Up to £48,000

We are very excited to be recruiting a Dementia Care Manager for a newly commissioned nursing, dementia and residential care home, located a few miles from the centre of Bath.

As the successful candidate you will become the Dementia expert within the home, with direct leadership of all dementia care activities in the area sf. You will ensure the care staff team are supported and trained to provide the very best care, supporting and developing a team of dementia care professionals.

Requirements:

• Passion for delivering exceptional Dementia care
• Achieved a Level 4 Qualification in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards
• Minimum level 3 qualification in dementia care with a min of 4 years experience of supporting people with dementia
• Management and leadership experience
• Knowledge of MCA, DoLs, POVA, CQC
• Able to motivate staff teams
• IT skills and good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Lead a Dementia care team reporting to Home Manager
• Develop person centred care plans
• Carry out assessments of potential new residents
• Regularly liaise with healthcare professionals & attend meetings
• Supervise, coach and mentor the dementia care delivery team
• Be the Dementia expert within the care home
• Support the Home Manager with managerial duties
