The Parcels Transformation Programme (PTP) is critical to the future success of Royal Mail Group. Its objective is to deliver the Parcels Strategy and we are investing in products, IT and the Operation. This is a great opportunity to work at the very heart of one of Royal Mail’s strategic transformation initiatives and is integral to the successful delivery of the Parcels Business Vision.
About the role
In this new, challenging and exciting role you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a strategic programme within the Parcels Transformation Programme as we look to respond to market developments in the e-tail and online marketplace arena.
Being an experienced Programme Manager within the e-tail industry, understanding the latest developments, you’ll manage the key programme activities through the full lifecycle specifically from the operational business side of project delivery.
As a key member of the Parcels Transformation Team you will work collaboratively across all functions, Parcel Projects and Programme work streams with a virtual team of subject matter experts to support the key project deliverables.
Furthermore, assisting in developing costings, plans and other elements as part of agreed business cases and securing business support, alongside the identification of risks and agreeing mitigation plans, will be key to the role.
This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months
About You
Utilising your proven history in complex programme management, delivering cross functional projects, you’ll be a dynamic individual possessing excellent influencing skills with a track record of internal & external stakeholder management engaging at all levels in large scale companies within a unionised environment.
With experience of leading programmes through ambiguity you’ll be able to translate business & customer needs into clear, simple requirements to ensure successful implementation of the programme.
The role also requires an individual with strong commercial acumen and experience preferably within an agile background in conjunction with a MSP qualification (or equivalent), alongside using risk management methodologies and being able to assist with reviewing project costs.
Salary & Benefits: c£76,800package (dependent on experience) plus full family health care and 27.5 days annual leave
