Project and Programme Manager (PMO)
The PHOENIX Group is a pan-European pharmaceutical wholesaling and retailing company – one of the top 5 pharmaceutical wholesalers in the world. It operates exclusively in Europe with its UK headquarters based in Runcorn, Cheshire, from where they support the local business activities across a UK network of 14 distribution depots, over 500 retail community pharmacies and over 6,000 + staff nationwide.
Phoenix Medical Supplies Limited (PMS is undergoing major strategic change as it repositions itself in the market place. The Programme Management Office (PMO) is instrumental to these activities in maintaining the associated management processes and supporting the organisation to achieve their strategic projects and programmes of work.
A Project and Programme Manager is needed to join the PMO at the UK Headquarters, Runcorn. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the whole business change lifecycle and be fully cognizant of the risks associated with these endeavors. You will have experience of how to mitigate these risks and bring teams together to work cross-functionally to delivery change at pace.
You will understand the need for project structure and have had experience of different project management methodologies. You will be responsible for defining and establishing the appropriate project and programme management environments, advising and leading cross-functional teams on a day to day basis. You will be able to apply project management principles appropriately, eliciting their value without recourse to one specific methodology.
You should have an understanding of the systems development lifecycle and methodologies; thereby an awareness of its business critical nature, the common pitfalls that can occur and how they can be avoided.
An efficient communicator at all levels; you will be able to coach the business to enable then to deliver change themselves.
You will be self-motivated with the ability to challenge the business to reduce risks in change delivery. In conjunction with business leaders; you will be able to lead multiple, complex projects & programmes simultaneously and be someone the company has confidence in to effectively facilitate change.
The working hours/pattern for this role are 37.5 per week Monday to Friday
