The role of the Facilities Manager is to provide a suitable, safe and cost-effective environment for staff and an equally impressive image to clients.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all new building projects
• Maintain the buildings and their services using best practice, over the whole range of building issues – ensuring building comply with all relevant legislation.
• Use and management of contractors to provide specialist services like cleaning, catering, security and maintenance.
• Investigate and improving issues such as building refurbishment options, rates, rents, energy contracts.
• Line manage the entire Building Services team, managing budgets, defining priorities in coordination with senior management.
• Managing all H&S issues, environmental matters and all aspects of the fire alarm and electronic security systems.

Requirements:
• Basic understanding of a wide range of building construction, maintenance and repair issues.
• Experience providing a facilities service in a moderate sized organization, with high-tech and complex facilities.
• Previous experience as a Facilities Manager in a similarly high-tech engineering/manufacturing environment would be extremely advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence and persuade others.
• Must be able to fulfil the requirements needed to attain SC level security clearance.
