Our client is a leading Engineering organisation that is involved with the production, development and support of high specification Electronics products. They work across the Defence, Military and Aerospace sectors. They strive to provide engineering excellence to all of their clients.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Analysis Engineer in their Design & Analysis Engineering function. This role will be to test the feasibility of new concepts and designs in the business
Role description
Provide the performance analysis expertise to the design and development activities for the Companys engineering solutions for the new product development.
Undertake analysis of system and component level performance and recommend improvements in the development of new designs.
Report and present findings of performance, heat transfer and vibration analysis.
Liaison with customers.
Completion of project related actions and associated documentation.
Management of suppliers on project related activities.
Compilation of concise reports in support of the project milestones.
Work within the requirements of AS9100 and ISO9000 standards.
Requirements & skills
Ideally you will have experience in the following:
Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or a recognised equivalent.
Good knowledge of systems engineering and integration practices.
Demonstrable experience of Performance Analysis tools (particularly Ansys) thermal dynamics and CFD would be ideal.
Experience of design for manufacture would be an advantage.
Related experience of a new product development environment would be a distinct advantage.
You should be proficient in MS Office tools as well as CAD lite package.
