Assistant Accountant

Salary: £331.2 per day

Reporting into the Financial Controller, this newly created position of Assistant Accountant will take the responsibility of maintaining the financial ledgers (AP/AR) for multiple entities along with maintaining internal controls.

As Assistant Accountant you will be tasked with producing all revenue invoicing, maintaining the general ledger along with supporting the accounts payable activities for the organisation.

Further tasks include:

Preparing inter-company entries on accounts payable/receivable

Prepare monthly revenue journals

Maintain the general ledger

Assist with tax and audit requirements

Liaise with vendors directly in terms of timely payments made along with cash collections

Assist the FC/Accountants when required with ad-hoc finance tasks
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a similar role with at least 2+ years general ledger experience. You’ll be able to deliver to tight deadlines along with the ability to partner with other support functions (i.e legal, tax and compliance). In addition, you’ll be actively studying towards and accounting qualification (AAT / CIMA / ACCA) with a proactive mindset and can-do attitude. Experience with SAP is desirable.
