Test Engineer

Salary: £48,000 per year

Systems Test Engineer required for a rapidly growing company in Stirling. This is an incredible time to join as the organisation has just landed several huge contracts, alongside their ever-growing product line as they continue to tackle very relevant and current problems faced worldwide.

You’ll will be joining a brand-new team (so can really make your mark and suggest best processes!) that is focused on some of the company’s pivotal products – which includes both hardware and software. It would be great if you have experience with both hardware and software testing, but if you are well-versed with one or the other, they would like to hear from you!

Based in a team focusing on performance and scalability, you will have the opportunity to own and deliver both manual and automated tests that focus on systems integration testing and ensuring that test coverage is a wide as possible across the whole business. You will then be able to identify new areas where testing could be improved or developed (and either action or help others to action this!).

You’ll have delved into a range of different testing tools across your career (or be confident in researching the variety of options on the market) so you can confidently advise the team on the most suitable testing tools for the job.

You’ll have experience with most of the following:

** Strong testing experience (ideally including automated testing)

** Have a strong focus on test coverage (and an understanding of a test coverage matrix)

** Review and validate other test cases

** Agile working practices

** Planning testing across multiple sprints

** Hardware and/or software testing

** Reporting into a formal and regulated environment (ideally experience with validation and verification protocols)

** Continuous integration

** Cloud-based platforms

Bonus experience:

** Medical device experience

** Experience with different ISO and FDA standards

Right now, they offer remote working, and are potentially able to offer this post-pandemic, although they are still looking for people who live in the local area.

The benefits package includes 32 days holiday (including 8 public holidays, but only 3 of which are fixed) and a 6% employer pension contribution. The salary on offer is up to £48,000.
