Personal Lines Handler (Insurance)

We are currently working with an exciting and friendly Insurance business who due to continued growth are expanding their broking team and have a new position within their Personal Lines division. The business is built on the principle of customer services, competitive pricing and a
friendly, personal approach.

This role involves promoting a wide range of personal lines insurance products to new and existing customers as well as servicing existing policies and responding quickly to customer’s policy requests.

You will be dealing with customers and insurers both face to face and over the telephone. Therefore it is essential you are able to provide excellent customer service at all times.

The ideal candidate needs to be able to stay calm under pressure, working in a busy office as part of a small professional team. Efficiency and accuracy skills are essential and you need to be computer literate.

Candidates need to be EXPERIENCE IN PERSONAL LINES INSURANCE CLAIMS HANDLING and should have knowledge of FSA regulatory requirements – professional qualifications such as cert CII would be of assistance but not a pre requisite of this position. The client uses CDL software so experience of that would be a benefit but is certainly not essential as training can be provided.

Hours are Mon-Fri 9-5.30 and Sat 9-12 9 (for which staff get a half day off each week).

Salary depends on experience (£26,000basic) plus bonuses – at present bonuses payable usually between £26,000 per year but these do fluctuate and are based on performance.
