Our client is a highly regarded chartered insurance broker, providing impartial advice on insurance and risks to clients who value the committed service provided by teams of professional staff.
They are recruiting for a new vacancy for an Insurance Clams Handler working with mainly personal injury claims. This is a very important role within the Claims team where the successful applicant will be responsible for managing claims for clients, including where our client holds delegated authority from insurers.
The role will suit someone who already has technically sound insurance experience and wants to develop their expertise in a commercial field. We especially want to talk to people who want to develop a career in this field.
KEY ROLES:
To manage Sports clients, working to ensure an appropriate level of support for clients and insurers;
To obtain the best possible claims settlements for Clients as speedily as possible, providing continued support and servicing;
Provide technical expertise and advice as required
To maintain and improve our high levels of business retention
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide client support for those clients specifically allocated
To provide help where and as required for department colleagues
To provide a professional friendly, helpful and informative service
To provide appropriate responses to Client requests and queries
Prioritise daily workload with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Deal with incoming telephone calls
Maintain a daily diary system
Complete filing daily
To be able to work independently acting on own initiative
Provide support and communicate information to other teams within the company
Essential Skills and Experience:
Insurance qualifications (Cert CII) would be an advantage
Demonstrable experience in all types of claims handling, particularly Liabilities
Minimum 5 GCSEs [or equivalent] at grades between A and C, including Maths and English. Those with Business Studies will be at an advantage;
Confident, resilient personality and able to deal with public in a positive manner
Ambitious team player
Experience of working in an insurance broking environment
Experience of other Microsoft packages would be an advantage
Articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
