Salary: £56,400 – £60,000 per year
Due to continued growth my client is recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team. My client is a well-established and respected sourcing specialist that partners and works with manufacturers of commodities abroad. Supplying parts and components to Original Equipment Manufacturers to customers worldwide world. To be considered for this position you will ideally have a proven quality control and background.
Quality Manager role:
As the successful Quality Manager you will report to the Technical Manager and be responsible for the support and implementation of quality initiatives by identifying and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing process capability, capacity and product quality.
Some overseas travel to implement and reinforce the identified processes at the manufacturing location. You will also;
- Lead a Quality Team.
- Develop new quality documentation and control methods.
- Monitor factory / component performance.
- Manage factory audits and further develop process and documentation.
- Work with customers, ensuring any issues are dealt with swiftly and efficiently.
- Support and develop Manufacturing Teams based abroad.
- Implement and reinforce company’s processes.
- Evaluate / improve manufacturing processes – apply knowledge of product design, casting, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; confer with equipment vendors.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Maintain product and company reputation with compliance of government regulations.
- Assist factory in order to develop manufacturing processes through study of product requirements – research, design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment; confer with equipment vendors.
Quality Manager requirements:
- Qualified with a relevant engineering qualification ideally HNC / HND or above
- Proven experience in quality control and castings.
- Proven background in engineering and product development/manufacture.
- Professional and proactive work ethic.
- Highly organised and a great partner to the business.
- Enthusiastic and good with people.
- Ready to learn new skills and push for improvement in all areas.
Quality Manager package:
