Salary: £42 – £48 per hour

A superb position for a Quality Health Safety Environmental and Energy Manager has become available. This manufacturing organisation have consistent and continued growth, offering long term potential for even greater opportunities.
This is a stand-alone site here in the UK, and they have another larger site in Europe.
Their product range is vast and varied, producing components for a broad range of different suppliers.

DUTIES

Ensure site compliance with TS16949
Manage and develop the departmental budget for Quality Health Safety Environmental and Energy
You will be the representative for the Customer on all issues regarding QSE
Provide assistance to the Plant Manager in coordinating Performance and Strategy Management
Risk Assessments
Manage the accreditation of the internal audits and perform the audits
Conduct both internal and external audits
8 D reports and system audits
Using full range of Quality tools such as FMEA, APQP, Control Plans and SPC
Ensure the promotion and application of the problem solving tools and techniques such as 6 Sigma
New Product Introduction
Working closely with the SQE, to ensure all supplier concerns are dealt with
Apply all Quality, Environmental, Safety and Energy procedures and operating instructions within the framework of operations
Develop the Quality culture
Coordination of the documentary systems
Ensure implementation and sustainability of the QSE system and have an active involvement in the maintenance and improvement of the systems

REQUIREMENTS

deally you will have a good standard of education, to Degree level would be desirable, however, relevant experience is readily considered
It is essential that you have Quality Management experience from within a high volume manufacturing environment, essentially automotive
Strong knowledge of TS16949
Good knowledge of FMEA, SPC and problem solving tools
Proven experience of quality management standards such as TS16949, ISO9001, OHSAS18001, and ISO45001 would be nice
Strong knowledge of customer quality and project processes as well as the supplier PPAP
A strong communication, both verbal and written
A natural leader, someone that can motivate a team
Actively encourage team working
Whilst ideally, someone with QHSE knowledge would be beneficial, a strong Quality Manager from the automotive industry who is looking to improve level of responsibilities in areas such as Health and Safety, would be readily considered
