Position: Controls & Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Bradford
Hours: 40 hours per week
JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Senior Client Services Manager for a prestigious financial services client as the Controls & Quality Assurance Manager, the role holder will lead a specialist team driving a continuous improvement agenda in conjunction within the customer’s high profile Controls Framework initiative. Working in collaboration with our client’s Business Owners and our Operations Managers across 8 client sites, the role holder will manage a team of dedicated Controls Analysts and Quality Assurance specialists. The role holder will work very closely with the client’s Supplier Management & Operational Quality teams and SPS Senior Management to ensure effective delivery of programmes & initiatives designed to mitigate process risks and develop an operational excellence model.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Continuous Improvement & Discovery
► Be the key interface with the client’s Supplier Management team for their Controls Framework Initiative and Operational Quality targets
► Implement the Controls Framework effectively through a dedicated team of Controls Analysts and Quality Assurance Specialists
► Lead a culture of continuous improvement with a common language and methodologies within the SPS e account team and across key client stakeholders.
► Use recognised tools to build and maintain a library of referenceable achievements.
Project Delivery
► Create and execute project plans.
► Identify resource demands assigning individual responsibilities.
► Manage day-to-day tasks, operational aspects of projects and scope.
► Review and challenge scope & deliverables.
► Manage project risk against ‘triple constraints’.
► Deliver documentation that conforms to the standards set out within the SPS Project Controls Document.
Communication
► Develop meaningful relationships with key client stakeholders through reputation and trust.
► Create and lead a framework of meetings that underpin task delivery and ensure client/management/team engagement and satisfaction.
► Deliver engaging, informative, well-organised presentations to clients (internal and external).
► Ensure team goals are communicated with clarity with clear measures of success reviewed frequently.
Teamwork
► Lead, motivate and manage a team of specialists to exceed goals.
► Consistently acknowledge and provide constructive feedback, coaching & support to each team member.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The ideal candidate will demonstrably show knowledge and experience of the following:
Essential Criteria
► Commercial acumen.
► Team leadership for plan creation and working within structured project management methods.
► Lean/Sigma tools with experience of rolling out a local programme for internal team development.
► Process improvement programmes with the ability to lead client facing workshops/audits driving a process improvement agenda.
► Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications.
► Hold a full UK driving licence. Be willing and able to travel within the UK.
Desirable Criteria
► Professional qualifications in PRINCE2; Foundation or Practitioner level or equivalent.
► Lean/Sigma qualified – all levels considered or equivalent.
► Training/Consultancy experience.
► General understanding of Document Management.
