An exciting and rare opportunity is available to join a vibrant client with a prestigious customer base working as a Stock Control Supervisor in Luton.

This is a key role within the organisation where you’ll be managing the planning and control of stock and goods passing through the business.

Key responsibilities:
– Full responsibility of stock control, whilst working in a performance managed environment
– Managing incoming stock levels and movements, ensuring records are accurately updated
– Planning goods-in process ensuring all supplier deliveries are allocated to the correct work area
– Manage supplier delivery issues, ensuring the warehouse and customer service team are fully updated at every stage
– Updating system with transfer of stock data
– Closer liaison with key suppliers and ensure goods are shipped as agreed schedule
– Ensuring quality checks are carried out in a timely manner
– Working closely with the stock team, allocating workload and tasks
– Review courier and freight charges and costs
– Completion of all necessary paperwork and documentation for exports and imports.
– Production of monthly report
– Supervision of a small team and be involved in appraisals and training

This role requires previous planning/stock or logistics experience and will suit an individual who works well as part of a team. You must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal along with a real passion for customer service.
