Summary of the role
Our client is looking for Customer Sales Advisors to join their growing and evolving business, and to provide a quality customer service experience.
You will have a passion for maximising sales and giving customers a great experience while working as part of a team. You will work with the team to build and maintain a store centred on colleagues and customers.

The role
• Adhere to the Health & Safety policy at all times, and ensure all working practices comply with the policy guidelines
• Deliver exceptional customer service, while achieving store sales and profit targets
• Complete all customer transactions in accordance with their core values to ensure they offer the best customer experience possible
• Acknowledge customers quickly and assist with product enquires and selection in a helpful manner and with a smile
• Receive stock and ensure stock is checked and signed for. Put the stock away quickly and in the correct locations
• Ensure a high level of store housekeeping and cleanliness is maintained
• Assist with visual merchandising displays and promotional activity throughout the store
• Undertake reviews of product levels as requested by Store Manager or Deputy Store Manager
• Advise Store Manager or Deputy Store Manager on any sales trends so that product categories can continue to meet customer demands
• Keep up to date with new store lines, promotions and initiatives through company on line learning systems and team briefs whilst sharing knowledge with fellow colleagues
• Maintain current knowledge and skills by taking part in the company on line training system BOOST. Learn the mandated modules to achieve and maintain personal trading licence within specified timescales
• Handle all cash and card transactions in accordance with guidelines and company policy
• Handle customer returns and complaints with courtesy and a smile, taking personal ownership for their resolution, and escalate difficult events promptly
• Take part in stock takes and stock control activity as directed by Store Manager or Deputy Store Manager

• Excellent people skills from a customer service environment. Retail backgrounds are great, previous trade or DIY experience is not necessary
• A strong team player who enjoys being around colleagues and helping others
• Someone who is ready to represent their values

• Numeracy and literacy skills
• PC literate
