This group of businesses currently have a turnover more than £1Billion and continue to expand via organic growth and acquisition. Due to major expansion my client is looking for a dynamic sales winner who will focus on ‘spearheading’ their international sales growth strategy alongside the Sales Director.
The Role
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced sales professional to further develop their career with a world leading business and true engineering innovator!
They are looking for an outstanding individual who is driven and ambitious who can develop an international sales region. This will be a home-based position with regular travel throughout the sales region. We anticipate that you will travel 25% of the time, you will take responsibility for high level distribution and key account management, as well as determining new markets and opportunities. You will work with the global sales team and innovation team to develop new products and new markets. Working closely with major end users and with their supply base to drive product specification, after market openings and assisting the global KAM team to close business and identify major project opportunities. As this is primarily a project-based sell, we do require the successful candidate to spend a couple of days each month working with the sales, manufacturing, and project teams at head office in the Midlands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of international distributors and major end users within the oil and gas, refinery, power [turbine] and chemical industries. We envisage that around 40% of your time will be dedicated to identifying & winning new customers with the remaining focusing on strategic account management. You will also assume the ‘senior’ position within the global sales team, acting as the bridging gap between the commercial team and the Sales Director. This will involve further accountability by offering your support, guidance and on-going coaching during the project sales process and adding value and direction to the marketing teams.
The successful candidate will have experience of selling engineering products or solutions and of winning INTERNATIONAL multi-million projects!
