The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Distribution Shift Manager based at our Dundee Depot. Reporting to the Distribution Manager the successful candidate must be flexible in their approach to work, highly customer service driven, a great motivator and a clear front line leader.

A good knowledge of Managing a large scale operation is essential as well as being passionate about people and being committed to delivering a truly outstanding customer experience. Key responsibilities to this role will include but not be limited to:
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

– Customer Service & Communication skills internal / external
– Ability to lead and inspire a team of administrators driving continuous improvement with overall service to our customers
– Recruitment, retention and training / development of both our driving and admin team.
– Contributing to key projects and objectives for both the depot and the business
– Management of 3rd party maintenance provider and service level agreements
– Cost control – budgetary management experience
– Experience of different fleet performance management systems
– Experience of and compliance to internal quality management systems
– Class 2 license essential
– CPC desirable

The Person

Ideally having worked in a similar role with previous experience of managing people or processes within a warehouse environment
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

– 3 years` experience of managing large teams within a fast moving distribution environment
– Computer literacy
– Results focused
– Good communication skills
– Computer literate
– Prepared to be “hands” on when the need arises
– Calmness under pressure
– Customer focused
