Title: Customer Service Team Manager (Distribution)

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000dependant on experience

A small but growing business within the distribution industry are currently seeking a highly experienced Customer Service Manager to join their team. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced team manager from the trade/distribution industry to make a valuable contribution to this small but growing business.

The Role:

Full responsibility for the management and development of a team of telephone based Customer Service Advisors, along with additional responsibility for a small face-to-face post-sales team. Close liaison with other areas of the business including the warehouse and workshop will be essential to improve business processes. There is a lot of scope for this person to grow as the business grows, and will have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution. Responsibilities will include:

Working as part of the Management team, with full responsibility for running and developing the existing Customer Service team with the possibility of expanding in the future
Development of the team will include: recruiting, training, appraising and disciplining of the team
Developing the teams up-selling techniques will be a key focus of the role, along with ensuring their service levels are of an exceptionally high standard
Forging good working links with the warehouse team and workshop
Additional responsibility for the management of a trade counterWho we’re looking for:

We are looking a highly experienced Customer Service Team Manager from the distribution industry. It is essential that you have worked in a B2B environment and have experience of dealing with trade customers. A strong commercial awareness is essential and you must be a natural relationship builder. The role would suit someone who could work with the business in terms of growth, development and ideas; but with a soft approach.
