Our client is one of the market leaders in the UK plastics recycling industry with their own, state of the art plastics recycling facility. A vacancy currently exists for a Supply Chain Manager/Buyer to manage and develop the company’s material sourcing, procurement and logistics services.

Based from home, your main duties will include:

* Ensure that all supply materials are available to fulfil requirements e.g. raw materials, packaging and consumables according to agreed production plan.

* Develop and create appropriate structure to support all material sourcing, procurement and logistics activities whilst supporting, training and developing staff to ensure that the necessary skills are in place.

* To ensure effective and efficient stock management, ensuring supply meets volume and market demand.

* To effectively negotiate and manage supplier price points and identify opportunities to reduce cost where possible.

* To manage the full supply chain lifecycle including all compliance related components.

* Negotiate prices and other supply arrangements.
