Salary: £31.5 per hour

Sitec are looking to recruit an MEP CAD Technician (Building Services) for our client who are a leading UK construction and regeneration company. The role is an estimated 12 month contract and is based on a Nuclear site near Reading. The hours are 40 hour week and paying competitively up to £31.5 per hour, depending on experience.

Job/Role Purpose:

A member of the CAD Services Team reporting to and supporting the CAD Supervisor & CAD Manager. Responsibility for providing support to the CAD Services Team in the delivery of drawing configuration using Computer Aided Design (CAD) to our client.

Key Performance Indicators – KPI’s
The role will be measured against the following KPI’s, these points will be raised at the next performance review meeting.

KPI Score
1. Delivery of high quality data/drawings back to meet client requirements and in line with CAD standards.
2. Maintain a high and acceptable score on all SLI factors
3. Manage own work load and priorities to suit demand
4. Delivery of information to suit the time defined in the form 400
5. Keep supervisor informed of work in progress and factors which may influence a delay in delivery

Key Accountabilities:
* To ensure a personal understanding and application of responsibilities with regard to the Company’s environment, health, safety, security and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Production of Schematic, General Arrangement and Detailed drawings within the built environment and in accordance with client Standards and procedures. (Architectural, Civil & Structural, MEP).
* Maintaining and updating record drawings in accordance with client standards and procedures in support of owner / operator.
* Ability to produce drawings accurately and efficiently from survey / redline information.

Qualifications:
* HND/HNC or equivalent in Engineering.

Knowledge:
* Undertaking design and configuration for the life of a project.
* Demonstrate an understanding of technical standards and regulatory requirements for data management
* Understanding the lifecycle of data
* Understanding of common data environment and Electronic Data Management Systems.

Experience:
* Working within a CAD team as a multidiscipline resource
* Management and manipulation of 2D CAD information within a collaborative project
* Working on multi discipline construction project.
* Experience of AutoCAD or Revit and Navisworks

Skills:
* Good technical skills including problem solving and decision making
* Good oral, written and presentational skills with a particular aptitude for report, documentation and letter writing
* Good interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective communication to all levels to both internal and external personnel
* Familiarity with standard office software including word processors, spreadsheets, e-mail, presentations and databases

* Maintain a good knowledge of current AutoCAD software, CAD standards and procedures

Special Requirements:
* To be fit and able to work on a nuclear licensed site including explosives areas.
* Full UK driving license
