Site Operations Manager – Supply Chain/Distribution

Location: Nottinghamshire

Our Client is a business without peer, a company that leads the way in their sector. As part of a dynamic international growth strategy they are looking to significantly develop their business in the UK. Their impressive client list includes leading names in retail, manufacturing & pharmaceuticals, and they aim to develop this further.

To assist their growth plans they are looking to recruit a Site Operations Manager to add to their Management Team. The successful candidate will have fantastic attention to detail, strong communication skills & the ability to manage high expectations to deliver the business agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement a positive communication culture with the team and in the communication to our client and across the teams by building bridges and maintaining effective communication

Drive collaboration across the teams

Manage and execute on current contracts with the client at site

Develop and implement a controlled handover procedure with the project team for all site changes, modifications, and upgrades.

Measurement and reporting of current state and deliverables against the client’s needs

Support on-going hiring and training of teams at site

Develop and align escalation process at site, with services teams and counterparts at site

Develop service structures and processes to meet service requirements

Develop an operations-related relationship between Client’s operations team and the operations support team

Support the development of tools to increase visibility and transparency of the implemented system

Identify any gaps in ongoing operations and develop and coordinate plans to close the gaps

Implement a continuous improvement culture

Continuous measurement and reporting of client satisfaction and identify parameters of client satisfaction

Develop and coordinate plans to increase Client satisfaction

The Person:

Degree qualified, or equivalent, in a STEM based subject

Proven experience within a distribution centre, or integration management, or supply chain

High level business acumen

Exceptional communication skills, with a particular emphasis on client engagement

Broad understanding of direct and indirect team management across multiple workstreams. Effectively assigns responsibilities and sets clear expectations ensuring work results are understood. Continuously aware of process, progress, and results, whilst assuring feedback is provided for both completion of work and development

Ability to solve complex problems and develop solutions as well as teaching and developing others

Experience delivering highly complex programs and projects on-time and on-budget

Client management and project leadership skills demonstrated through broad consultative experience and knowledge

IT literate (MS Office)
