JOB OVERVIEW

Together insendi and Study Group provide a premium, pedagogically focused learning experience platform combined with online course development and delivery services to both the world’s leading business schools and International Study Centres. We are an EdTech company with growing technology, product and services teams and are recruiting a Professional Services Manager as we expand our team.

We build online courses for universities to be delivered via our learning experience platform. We also train university programme teams to develop the in-house capability to then build their own courses independently, and we fully support the preparation for delivery and course launches. The Professional Services Manager will oversee the end to end delivery of each of these projects.

for our business school and university partners will require working with and reporting to programme teams at the universities. Projects for our International Study Centres will require working with and reporting to our product team.

This is a new role within the services and digital production team, and therefore offers the key advantages of:

  • Requiring the successful candidate to make the role their own, shaping it by designing and implementing the processes that will keep our projects on track.
  • Requiring independent working and decision making whilst also being a core member of a much wider team.
  • Allowing the successful candidate to decide which tools are used for recording information- what matters most to the team is that this information is accurate and visible.
  • Allowing the successful candidate to design the meeting frequency and structures for working with project teams and reporting to management, product teams and university programme teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain project schedules according to the requirements of our business school and university partners and product team.
  • Create project budgets working with our finance and new business teams, and maintain these budgets by tracking spend across each project’s lifecycle.
  • Meet with the Head of Learning Design and the Head of Media to ensure projects are sufficiently resourced.
  • Regularly meet the services team as a group to keep projects on track.
  • Regularly meet each Learning Designer to track all details of production in relation to project schedules.
  • Be a point of escalation for the services team members where projects are facing risk due to scheduling, scope, resourcing or budgetary issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including reports, minutes and actions.
  • Forming and maintaining a strong relationship with project teams at our university partners and key stakeholders in the product team.
  • Use the reporting tools to lead meetings to obtain the required answers on the finest level of detail needed for managing projects.
  • Establish and enforce a single source of truth approach to the storage of project information that is clearly communicated to all project stakeholders.
  • Identify upsell opportunities at business schools where project teams are facing capacity or delivery constraints.
  • Conflict or issue resolution with external stakeholders where scheduling, scope, resourcing or budgetary issues exist.

EXPERIENCE

  • A comprehensive understanding of contemporary approaches to the development and delivery of online and blended learning courses.
  • Background in working on online learning projects with universities – this role includes both ensuring the completion of course development projects and also ensuring programme information is clearly communicated to university partners.
  • Able to organise a team to successfully deliver both new and ongoing projects.
  • Experience in contract management and project budgets.
  • Influencing and persuading: Able to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others. This role works closely with university programme teams and product directors. For many of our university partners they are undertaking online programmes for the first time and they rely on us to drive the process.
  • Analytical thinking: Able to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically. Is able to understand commercial imperatives.
  • Managing relationships: Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal colleagues and university partners, understanding their needs and goals.
  • Shows sensitivity and tact: Works cooperatively with others to be part of a team, as opposed to working separately or competitively.
  • Extremely well organised, able to manage workload and reach deadlines: You will be responsible for delivering all course development projects for our university partners and product team.
  • A team player: You will be part of a team consisting of Learning Designers, Media Specialists, Digital Designers, Operations Managers, Product Managers and Developers.
  • Ability to present confidently in front of a range of audiences: You will be asked to present to our existing customers and product team on a regular basis regarding programme updates.
  • The successful candidate, once in the role, will gain extensive knowledge of the insendi platform and general knowledge of other tools and technologies often used in the development of online and blended education. It is essential that you understand the platform features that are used to build our courses.
