Internal Sales Representative

Tamworth, Staffordshire

£26,400 + Per Annum (depending on experience)

A busy and successful engineering company serving the global construction market, are currently looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Sales Representative to work from their brand new facility in Tamworth. 

Duties include:

• Speaking to prospective, lapsed and current customers to sell a range of specialist products used in the construction market
• Making cold, and new phone calls to reach out to business owners, directors and purchasing personnel to discuss their business requirements and the benefits of the products that the company provides
• Updating and maintaining a sales database using IT software 
• Identifying and securing new business opportunities
• Using Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, Outlook to carry out admin and clerical tasks as required
• Working as part of a wider team including production, quality, marketing and management
• Using initiative when working unsupervised including making important decisions
• Maintaining existing and making new business relationships 
• Prioritising and organising your workload to ensure deadlines and dates are met as required

Experience required:

• Previous office-based, business to business sales experience
• A confident, courteous and professional telephone manner 
• Building long-term, successful business relationships
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
• The ability to work as part of a team whilst also being able to use initiative when needed
• Utilising social networking tools to identify new business opportunities
• Tenacity and perseverance
