Wbl Care Area Manager

Are you an experienced Area Manager within Work-Based Learning? Have you managed sizeable SFA contracts and supported the growth of specific contracts? Have you managed teams of assessors increasing performance? Are you looking for a new challenge?

One of the UKs largest and leading training providers delivering Apprenticeships are expanding their service offering and are looking for an experienced Area Manager to manage a team of Assessors across Hampshire and Dorset delivering on Care contracts.

This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis where you will be managing and leading a team of Health and Social Care and Childcare Regional Trainers across the two counties. You will be attached to a Head Office in Bristol for the purpose of sector development meetings.

The main purpose of this role is to manage and run the allocation of specific Care SFA contracts and learners across the region, through the leading of a team of assessors, ensuring that all contractual, financial and organisational targets are met.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

* Managing a team of assessors, ensuring they reach all set targets and supporting them in all aspects of the role
* Recruitment and training of new staff
* Leading on Business Development and Employer Engagement
* Contract Management, ensuring compliance to SFA contracts at all times
* Performance management, ensuring all targets are met

The successful candidate will have a proven background in the Work Based Learning industry with an in-depth knowledge of Apprenticeship Programmes. Knowledge and experience of working in the Care sector or managing care contracts is highly advantageous.

It is essential that you have a proven track record of staff management and achieving in a work based learning environment, as well as possessing a strong managerial presence. You will need to have excellent communication and people skills, to liase with staff on all levels.

In return you will be offered an excellent starting salary of £42,000 pa and a competitive benefits package including bonus payable on team performance.
