The Company

• My client is a well-established global manufacturer of fixings, power tools and accessories.
• They are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager with a background selling to builders merchants, end user manufacturers or OEM businesses.

The Role

• This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Manager with strong account management and business development skills and a background selling to builders merchants / end user manufacturers or OEM businesses.
• Selling the company’s range of fixings, power tools and accessories to builders merchants, end user manufacturers and OEM businesses
• Actively retaining, managing and growing an existing customer base of builders merchants / end user manufacturers and OEM businesses.
• Identifying and securing new business opportunities. 
• Adding value to distributor relationships by supporting and encouraging their own activities and by providing product training to their employees.

The Candidate

• Background selling to builders merchants / end user manufacturers or OEM businesses, either as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Executive or Account Manager.
• Relevant product exposure with either fixings or power tools.
• Used to dealing with technical aspects and sales of products through builders merchants / end user manufacturers or OEM businesses.
• This is a genuine opportunity to develop an existing territory further and really make the role your own by identifying and harnessing new business.
• Naturally persuasive, creative and self-motivated you will be able to recognise opportunities and use your own initiative to convert these into sales. You will have an open communication style; friendly, conscientious and committed above all you will be a team player.
• Committed to maintaining the company’s market leadership position within its target markets.
• You will possess relevant experience within an industrial or construction environment and will be able to demonstrate previous success in field sales.
