Quality Engineer

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a highly successful company based in Birmingham on a permanent basis.

My client is a leading Tier 1 Supplier to the automotive industry, and boasts a number of world-renowned clients within its portfolio. Due to expansion at one of its busiest sites, they require 3 Quality Engineers to join their team and help with the company’s development.

The successful Quality Engineer will be experienced in the development, implementation and auditing of Quality Systems, and will possess a strong character and determination.

Key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer will include:

– Managing the day to day activities that occur within the quality department

– Covering absence’s within the CMM department, to include any programming requirements that are required by customers

– Ensuring PPAP requirements are achieved for all new, modified and existing parts

– Ensure part audits and process audits are carried out, measured and actioned.

– Assist in use of CMM measurements and analysis techniques.

– Develop control plans, supporting action plans and SPC, ensuring their use and assessing results.

– Define and agree formal quality standards for pressed panels.

– Ensure appropriate process control methods are employed.

– To develop and implement quality operating procedures.

The successful Quality Engineer will have the following competencies:

– Knowledge of ISO/TS16949

– Working knowledge of Quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, PPAP and IDEF

– Knowledge of CMM machines

– Knowledge of CAD

My client is looking for 3 Quality Engineers to cover 3 shifts:

6am – 2pm,
2pm – 10pm
10pm – 6am
