Salary: £15.32 per hour

Our client is seeking an experienced part time payroll administrator 

This will be 30 hours a week Monday to Friday – 6 hours a day 

Duties will include;-

Update Payroll Software with new starter information

Review and distribute monthly timesheets to branches.

Upload returned monthly timesheets, verify sickness, overtime, bonus, commission, holiday pay, and calculate and make all statutory payments as appropriate.

Calculate final payments for leavers: e.g. outstanding bonus payments, overtime, holiday pay, loans etc.

Produce electronic payslips

Build Excel reports as requested by Directors and Management Accountants on both a monthly and ad-hoc basis using data downloaded or information imported from payroll software packages.

Collate and maintain accurate files for the following:

Employee information received from branches.

Pension records on behalf of external administrators;

Sickness records for all employees;

Changes to employees’ details;

Correspondence both written and verbal

Produce the following to meet external deadlines and circulate where necessary:

Salary payments by BACs;

Payslips;

P45s;

Year end documents such as P60, P11D;

Authorised information for external bodies.

Payment of any amounts due to external bodies;

Expense payments

Deal with telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently from branch staff, employees, pensioners, and outside agencies.

Provide advice on payroll matters to Regional Directors, Franchise Directors, Branch Managers, and Branch Administrators.

Provide cover for the Payroll Supervisor and process the Pension Fund Payroll.

Keep and file accurate records.

Work unsupervised with high levels of accuracy.

Ensure high standards and quality of work at all times, maintaining confidentiality of all data and to follow Company and departmental procedures on confidentiality and data protection.

Provide information to HR as and when required.

Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation and procedures.

Produce monthly reports for management as per schedule to include starter and leaver information and overtime and bonus statistics.

OTHER DUTIES:

Some Account reconciliations

Ad hoc projects as and when required working with other departments.
