This high-profile volume food retailer is renowned for value-for-money and excellent customer service. Placed firmly within the no-nonsense discount category, it’s nonetheless very much on an upward trajectory, having undergone an impressive new store opening programme over the last few years and with a lot more still to come. They’re still investing heavily in stores and people. Growth potential is massive.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, as Area Manager you’ll be responsible for a group of up to 10 stores across your area, with an aggregate turnover of c.£30m. It’ll take hard work, courage, vision and not a little business acumen to drive your collective team of Store Managers to achieve challenging KPIs and targets. But you know all that and you’re ready for it.

Of graduate calibre, you’re already on the up-curve of your career, either as an Area Manager or as a seasoned Store Manager who’s clearly ready to notch up a gear. Preferably with a food background and very well-presented, you’re very strong on customer service and value-led, as well as intent on, and capable of, keeping the business lean. A born leader, with the drive and ambition to succeed, you’re a strong drive, motivator and decision-maker, sufficiently agile and able to absorb new systems and skills and with plenty of confidence.
