Salary: £48,000 – £50,400 per year
Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join the existing Central Financial Team, reporting to the Head of Finance.
Duties of the role will include:
• Ensuring accurate posting of accounting entries and month end journals
• Performing analytical reviews of financial information monthly
• Preparing daily cash reports to the business
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review with the Financial Controller or Head of Finance
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting the Financial Controller with FCA and ONS returns
• Assisting the Financial Controller with annual audit process
• Providing back-up to the Financial Assistant
• Identifying opportunities for systems and process improvements
• Providing support to the Head of FP&A for commercial analysis, investment case appraisal and forecasting
Special Requirements:
• Newly qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
• Strong analytical skills
• A desire to learn and a love of finance and accountancy
• Experience of Sage (beneficial)
• Strong excel skills (essential)
• A desire to learn, bringing that mindset to the team
• Organised, detail focused, accurate and with the ability to prioritise
