Assistant Accountant

Salary: £20.33 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant / Finance Assistant to join an expanding team in central Cardiff. This is a busy and fast-paced role so will suit someone that is detail oriented and works well under pressure.

Full-time, permanent position. We can offer flexible hours to offer a healthy work life balance. 

The office is based in central Cardiff, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and we are open to a mix of office based and remote working.

We offer an attractive salary negotiable depending on your experience.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger including processing of all payments
Petty Cash
Sales Ledger including credit control and checking venue settlements
Bank reconciliation
Monthly Payroll information submission to external company and posting of journals. Submitting pension information and payments to HMRC.
Balance sheet reconciliation
Posting of monthly prepayments, accruals, and other month end journals
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of Cashflow report
Quarterly VAT Returns
Quarterly FEU Returns (Foreign Entertainers tax)
Ad hoc reports as requested by the Director
Assisting with preparation of year-end accounts
You will need:

Previous experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
Experience using Sage software
