Estimator

Salary: £420 per day

The role. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Estimator. Reporting to the Pre-construction Director, you will be responsible for supporting the pre-construction team in the preparation of bids and tenders to secure projects including competitive design and build tenders for both new build and refurbishment projects. You will be actively involved in the production of estimates and costs plans for multiple complex construction projects from £3m to £15m, assessing tender documentation requirements and presenting tender launch proposals, identifying potential risks and opportunities and regular liaison with construction planners, design managers, bid managers, consultants and the supply chain to deliver innovative solutions and tender proposals. The successful person will attend and play an active part in post tender negotiations with clients to secure individual projects. Projects will be around the North West though from time to time there may be projects further afield.

What are we looking for? The successful person will be a driven and ambitious Estimator with a track record of winning bids. You will be highly commercial with experience across a number of divisions to include healthcare, education, industrial and mixed developments. You will have extensive construction knowledge to include value engineering, first principles, production of quants, design, pre-construction, project management with a strong emphasis on cost and risk management. Ideally degree educated you will be focused and driven with a want to progress within a forward thinking and growing business. Experience of using Causeway would be preferred. A full driving licence and car driver is essential
