Estimator

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

Working for this forward thinking and nationwide Security & Communications Company who specialise in the design, installation, service and maintenance of integrated security systems and manufacturer specialist equipment. (Working from either their Mansfield, Birmingham or Nottingham office)

Due to the Company’s continued success, we are looking to expand their Business Development Team in the Midlands and are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and become a valued member of the team. You should be positive and enthusiastic having the ability to provide the client with a premium service and the capability to work independently or within a team when required.

The role will ideally be based within their Mansfield office, but you will also carry out work for their Birmingham and Nottingham office (so location is flexible within those three areas)

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your career within the security and communications industry. Your role will involve: –

* You would be required to prepare bills of materials and quotations from client specifications and drawings for various fire and security systems. You will need to have excellent communication skills, an ability to interpret client’s requirements and understand building layouts and schematics.

* Preparation of designs and quotations for, but not limited to: Fire and Security systems.

* Carrying out site surveys.

* Ensuring designs fully comply with all applicable regulations and standards.

* Working to defined quotas, deadlines, and budgets.

* Communicate and build successful working relationships with customers and other employees.

Key experience/qualifications:

* You will ideally be an accomplished estimator within the security industry with at least 2 years’ experience of estimating security and fire systems or an experienced engineer looking to develop their career (minimum of 5 years’ experience).

* You will have a working knowledge of BS5839-1 & 6:2013, RRO:2005 and BS:2010.

* Good IT skills and a familiarity with Microsoft software.

* Have a keen interest in technology and providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.
