Salary: £60,000 – £66,000 per year
Working closely with the Head of Change and Learning, using their knowledge and expertise to develop and evaluate the implementation of the Learning Strategy at SCC with the following responsibilities:
:
• Draft and build a Training Needs Analysis reflective of business needs and in alignment with strategic objectives, through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with line managers
• Design and expand L&D programmes based on both the organisation’s and the individual’s needs, or manage this activity via external providers
• Develop and facilitate successful induction programmes in line with strategic objectives, to include mentoring and career-coaching development
• Work in a team to produce high quality and engaging programmes which meet organisational learning needs (Instructor Led, E-Learning, LMS Modules, Self-Study Modules)
• Design, develop, and deploy the talent management and succession planning process and subsequent development plans to include career-planning initiatives
• Partner with the business to implement learning initiatives to develop existing and future talent and increase retention via individual learning plans
• Create L&D Communications (learning reinforcement and engagement infographics)
• Evaluate the content and delivery of training including feedback from learners
• Create and report on L&D updates to capture learning across the organisation (apprenticeships, external learning, team learning)
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• An experienced L&D specialist who has been responsible for the implementation of new strategic plans as well as proven experience of the delivery of these
• Experience in engaging, managing, and influencing stakeholders
• Experience of working as part of a team, independently creating content from scope to delivery
• Seasoned facilitator with demonstrated experience in facilitating different target audiences (high potentials, managers)
• Demonstrated experience in coaching team members and others
• Has the analytical capability to understand tracking and reporting of learner engagement to understand what does and does not work in Learning and Development
• Ability to grasp new technological concepts quickly
REQUIREMENTS
• At least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in two or more, or ideally, all in: learning and development – diagnosis, design and implementation, facilitation, and evaluation; job analysis and evaluation; career and succession planning
• Knowledge of developments in learning delivery methods (Instructor Led, E-Learning, LMS Modules, Self-Study Modules)
• Working knowledge of adult learning development theories
• Ability to project manage L&D deliverables (the ability to document and communicate project plans, monitor work in progress, achieve project milestones/end results for others to understand)
• Exhibits strong leadership abilities as role model, partner and mentor to internal project teams and staff
• Experience in change management and communications, desirable
