Junior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £42,000 per year

Junior Quantity Surveyor, up to C £35,000 + car or allowance

Our client is a highly successful, professional, friendly construction company who are growing fast. They already boast an enviable portfolio of clients and due to their reputation for high quality construction management this portfolio continues to expand. Our client is a firm believer in investing in their employees and as such they have not only have a reputation for excellence but employee satisfaction too. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to complement their commercial team.

Junior Quantity Surveyor – The Role:

* Assisting with contract reviews and negotiations/agreements

* Assisting with evaluating liabilities and risk

* Assisting with the negotiation of Sub-Contractors alongside the project team

* Attending pre-contract meetings

* Assisting with commercial performance reporting including financial appraisals as well as regular dialogue

* Assisting in preparing the cost / value reconciliation reports

You

* Completed a degree or HND in a QS or construction related course

* Work experience within a quantity surveying role or we would also consider someone with experience in construction with qualifications, looking to go into a QS role

* Keen to progress a long-term career as QS

* Innovative – ability to identify better ways of doing things

* A good team player, someone who wants to be part of a growing business to achieve common goals
