Site Manager (Affordable Housing)

Our client is a successful Construction Contractor operating within the Education, Housing, Local Authority and Maintenance sectors.

Due to an increase in work for 2014 we are actively recruiting Site Managers with Affordable Housing experience to join the company on a permanent basis to be operating in the East Midlands region.

The successful individual will have experience of the following:

• Leading and supporting a team of site staff / sub-contractors to deliver the project on time and within budget.
• Overall responsibility for the day to day management of all site activities.
• Manage and update the site programme at regular intervals.
• Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Client where necessary.
• Liaise as necessary with other organisations and relevant authorities.
• Report / manage change within the project scope whilst ensuring project delivery to client satisfaction.
• Implement all technical and commercial specifications, drawings and schedules that comply with the scope of services.

Ideally you will have progressed through your career from a relevant trade and have been employed as a Site Manager for a minimum of five years or hold a construction related degree with a minimum of three years’ experience. You must have proven experience in the planning and delivery of residential projects to a high quality and demanding programme.

You must have SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid Certificate, be able to produce programmes and the ability to manage electronic information (all essential) and preferably have experience of method statements / risk statements / H&S / Considerate Construction Schemes (all desirable).

Excellent communication skills will be essential as you will be liaising with Clients, Consultants, sub-contractors and senior management.

A current clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this post.
