This multi-model Transport provider are recruiting a container transport Traffic Operator / Transport Operator for their site in Felixstowe. This Traffic Operator / Transport Operator position offers a clear route of progression into more senior leadership roles in the future for those who excel.

Your new role
In your new job as the Traffic Operator / Transport Operator you will take charge of circa 20 container transport vehicles to ensure operational efficiency across the transport function. You will push for optimum route mapping, maximising driver hours and ensuring high levels of cost control by communicating work effectively and handling service issue in a timely fashion. Reviewing weekly reports you will track under performance and revenues, ensuring the most cost effective utilisation of your fleet. As the Traffic Operator / Transport Operator you will have excellent customer service skills, professionally fielding customer queries centred on rates, and service. Also engaging in business development/ key account management as required.

What you’ll need to succeed
The successful Traffic Operator / Transport Operator will be an adept user of Transport systems, and will ideally possess knowledge of transport operations and legislation. You will be both commercially and efficiency focussed with a real passion for making the most of your resources. You will imagine yourself in a managerial role within the next 2 or 3 years and will be passionate about your career progression, taking pride in all aspects of your development.
