Senior Financial Reporting Lead

Salary: £798 per day

Kind Consultancy is working with a very large, multidisciplinary Financial Services business which is currently seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Lead to join the IT Cost Management team in their London office on a six-month contract, paying up to £798 per day via umbrella.

The Senior Financial Reporting Lead will focus on managing initiatives and projects from an IT perspective, with key responsibilities including:

* Managing the review of overall reporting and analysis

* Evaluating contract renewals ahead of time, challenging demands and requirements and collaborating with technical teams and Procurement to achieve optimal commercial deals

* Providing constructive challenge to ensure reports and information provided to the onshore team are robust

* Maintaining the Initiatives and Projects calendar for the relevant IT teams, including articulation of financial P&L budgeting, owning the renewal trigger points and driving subsequent actions

* Developing a sound control environment to enable risk mitigation, maintaining a high level of risk awareness

* Supporting or leading projects aimed at incorporating tooling and technology into Processing and Analysis functions

* Driving standardization of processing financial reports, ensuring consistency and quality of reports prepared by the team

Our ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Reporting Lead contract:

* Has an excellent understanding of Finance accounting, collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements, and managerial accounting activities

* Has expertise in data analysis, data cleaning, analyzing data and creating reports with clear visualisations

* Is an excellent communicator in both writing and speech (being fluent in additional European languages would be desirable)

* Has hands-on experience of Microsoft applications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel and preferably VBA (with macros)
