Approved Electrician (Compex)

Salary: £20.72 per hour

Mech Tech Professionals are actively recruiting for permanent CompEx qualified Electricians.
Due to continuous growth, we require several CompEx approved Electricians to undertake a variety of projects across the North London and Swindon areas
Main responsibilities:
* Perform Hazardous Equipment Inspections for Clients and ensure compliance within classification and BN EN 60079 standards.
* Inspect and report on Hazardous Area Equipment based in the ‘Hazardous Area Locations’ and identify and log all items that do not reach the current ATEX standards.
* Prepare applicable Risk Assessments in order to complete work in a safe manner.
* Create and maintain an asset register of all electrical and instrumentation equipment located in the ‘Hazardous Area Locations’
* Conduct all remedial repairs on all Hazardous Equipment when required.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that applicants hold the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Time served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent method of training along with practical training in electrical installation works.
* Ex01-Ex04 CompEx certificate
* Experience and qualifications within the ATEX Inspection Field.
* At least 2 years’ experience hands on training after completion of training
* Demonstrable E&I Inspector experience within the Utilities, Oil & Gas or Chemical industries
* Demonstrable competence and qualification relating to inspection, testing, commissioning, and certification of electrical installation.
We are also looking to recruit permanent CompEx Approved Electricians for contracts across the West Wales area.
