Salary: £31.43 per hour

We have a requirement for a suitably qualified and experienced Maintenenace Electrician to join the team working at the South East Terminals (West Thurrock + Northfleet). Main duties will be to carry out planned and proactive Electrical maintenance but as with all other S.E.T personnel any other duties applicable to maintaining customer supply may also be required. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills flexiblew to undertake any tasks adaptable and self motivated.

As a maintenance technician you will be carrying out planned maintenance as per schedules and first line maintenance/fault finding as required by operational needs.

* Maintain in depth knowledge of the condition of all plant equipment on a continuous basis.

* Ensure the planned inspection of all plant equipment and initiate work orders based on inspection results, including safety checks. In case of anomaly, perform first analysis and defines priorities for each action

* Ensure all work carried out meets relevant statutory legislation and meets with company Safety, Health and Environmental standards.

* Monitor and coordinate condition predictors for all critical equipment

* Follow up and contribute to update preventative maintenance schedule with maintenance team

* Validate and update the criteria of equipment checks files and history sheets

* Be prepared to operate plant as and when required

* To maintain accurate and efficient records

* Show a proactive approach to Health & safetyShow a proactive approach to Health and SafetyShow a positive approach self improvement and trainingShow willingness to carryout any task that helps the S.E.T meet its objective.

Skills Required

* Time served Electrician-NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or C & G Part 3

* 18th Edition

* Experience in manufacturing process fault finding

* Pneumatic ship unloader experience would be preferable

* PLC Experience would be preferable

* Knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental issues.

* Safety qualification – IOSH/Safety Passport etc

* Knowledge of isolation and Permit systems

* PC skills to include – resetting drives, fuse replacement, motor testing, 4-20mA signals, Electrical installation, testing and inspection, PLC, and fault finding.

* T skills

* Forklift/MEWP License (Training will be given if required)
